Set an intention while holding the candle, then place it on a heat-resistant surface. Light the candle and repeat the affirmation as many times as desired. Take deep breaths and allow the Reiki energy and aroma to penetrate your senses, bringing stillness to your mind and body.
Spiritual candles often contain herbs, crystals, and essential oils chosen for their energetic and symbolic qualities. These ingredients can alter the way the candle burns and call for heightened safety precautions compared to traditional candles meant only for lighting or ambiance. Use the crystals to meditate, place on an altar, carry them, or use during energy work or rituals.
- Keep out of reach of pets and children.
- Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects. For the first use, melt candle to edges for an even burn and remove large flowers and crystals.
- Allow the candle to melt to the edge of the vessel. This prevents future tunneling.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Embedded herbs and crystals will shift and burn safely, but monitor closely.
- Trim the wick to 1/4 " tall before every burn to keep the wax clean and burning nicely.
- No more than 4 hours is recommended to burn. Stop use when 1 cm of wax remains at the bottom.
- No blowing! Use the lid or snuffer to extinguish the flame.
- When done, use a metal spoon to retrieve crystals, wash gently with soap and water, and let them dry.
